So the Season Pass cards have been the best cards of their season for the last few seasons in a row now.

You'd have months where the best card in the game was the season pass card, Loki, Ms. Marvel, Zabu. Sometimes they were strong but not the best card of the season, Sebastian Shaw, Zemo, Gwenpool. And the odd ones that underperformed and got buffed (Giglamesh, Symbiote Spider-Man) or even reworked (Black Swan).

However, since roughly We Are Venom and Agent Venom came out, not only has the season pass card been the best card of the season, it was also arguably the best card in the entire game. Agent Venom and Surtur warped the meta entirely where both got nerfed (Surtur got nerfed during it's season it released, and has since been further nerfed.) And now we have both Iron Patriot and Sam Wilson as arguably the two most powerful cards in the game. Galacta is really the only debatable one here if she, Doctor Doom 2099 or Rocket and Groot were the best cards of her season. But it's a pretty close race between all three cards.

Always feels a little off when one of the best cards in the game is one you have to spend money on to use, and when it does become free, oops these a new all powerful season pass card and we nerfed the previous one. Its been a bit of a pattern. Maybe we'll see one that doesn't work out soon, I recall Symbiote Spider was predicted to do very well and then it turns out its real easy to disrupt him. We could see similar with future cards to come as well.
