Plateau?
SW: 125lbs January. CW: 122lbs, GW: 115lbs by April 20th
Hello. I’m 5’3 and always been around 125 lbs and maintained it for the past 2 years with heavy lifting 4-5x a week where I recomped and dropped BF and upped muscle. Minimal cardio but I say I get in around 10k steps a day just walking around the office/house and some steps during my lifting session. I maintained by eating healthy but enjoying alcohol and dinners out around 2-3x a week.
Decided end of January that I wanted to lose weight for a wedding at the end of April (GW: 115lbs) Even with a cheese and aperol trip in February I still dropped to 122 lbs. For the past 10 days I have really dialed in and tracking my calories significantly while adding in cardio to my life sessions and a long walk before dinner. I have been stuck at 122lbs for the past week.
I’m eating 1200 calories a day-125g of protein and low carb. Tracking so precisely with a food scale.
ChatGPT tells me (hahah) that my fat cells hold onto water when they start shrinking before I get the whoosh effect when you maintain and stay on plan for a while. I’m wondering if that has happened to anyone? For reference I’m not tired, not ravenous but I can feel my body burning fat but scale won’t move. I don’t want to eat at maintenance for a while because it’s only been 10 days into this deficit post-vacation!
