What if SSO actually had a cooking skill?

I’m just going to come out and say it. The way SSO approaches “Cooking” is on the right side of ridiculous. But what if things really did take a toll on our character’s health? What if it diminished over time? Sure you fell down that cliff with style and didn't get a scratch but that fence post you smashed into? That was brutal.  What if you could replenish it by having a meal? Could you just plop yourself down at a cafe table and order some premade food? Sure! Or you could gather ingredients and make it yourself.

It could tie in activities like fishing and gardening and certain daily quests.  Unlock recipes. Maybe you learn how to make the perfect cup of tea from Herman, or perhaps Mrs. Holdsworth shows you how to make one of her pies. The food in turn could offer a buffer for certain stats, or special effects–like horse powders.  Zooming everywhere -- you just had some coffee didn't you?

Having a BBQ with a group? Everyone can contribute and get the same buffer. Food stalls, campfires, and cafes might get more use.

Maybe you can actually sell your goods and fulfill orders. I mean Jamie Olivetree is over there dying things with beet juice. And the characters at Wolf Hall Inn are eating sticks and ketchup. (Unless they changed that.)
