Do you think they'll shrink?

I'm not really feeling these stretched earlobes anymore. (12mm) Stretched them when I was 15, and I'm 30 now. So they have been stretched for quite some time... Do you think they would shrink if I leave the plugs out? Or is it a lost case and they will just end up looking like a cat-ass.
