[Tudor Snowflake] - Bought my first Sub.

I’ve always liked divers. My first nice watch was my dad’s old Tag Heuer Professional 1000. I eventually bought a Glashutte Original SeaQ - in part because while at the time I wanted a luxury diver, I didn’t necessarily want a Rolex. Years later - more into vintage and less inhibited about Rolex - I was looking at 5513 Subs to replace the SeaQ which was getting less and less wrist time.

I’d never really considered vintage Tudor, but I happened to try on a Tudor Snowflake (an MN issued 9401/0) a year ago at a collectors event, and was smitten. Same case/proportions as the 5513, but dial and hands with extra pizzazz. It certainly satisfies the itch I’d had for a Submariner. And while not as technically capable as the SeaQ, I’m finding this ref. 7016 from 1974 is pretty robust. The previous owner even dove with it shortly before I acquired it. I probably won’t do that, but I’m enjoying it as a carefree daily.
