1080p on 14440p display

Hey y'all so I'm a very high refresh gamer, I generally like my frame rate at 144 or higher but I can deal with about 120, I find less than 75 unplayable. So I preface this with that because I wanna get a 1440p monitor to avoid some of the TAA ghosting and blurryness and general clarity loss of 1080p. However there some games like Indiana Jones and the great circle that I addores and right now my 6900xt can put up 130-140fps in 1080p. I've heard people say that 1080p on 1440onitors looks worse than native 1080p so I was wondering if I could use fsr to play the game at 1080p and just make it fit a 1440p screen?
