CCS Charging cable stuck
Today i was at a DC / fastcharging station in Germany (I’m Dutch) when a somewhat stressful situation occurred: charging did not start and the cable was stuck. The “end charging” button also disappeared from the display of the car and stopping on the charger did not work because of an “unknown error”.
I contacted Volvo and they said I should contact the charge point operator (CPO) instead. So i did. The CPO put me very long on hold. So in the meantime I checked the manual and there apparently is and “emergency release handle” for these kind of situations. (Mind you that you should only use it when the car is not actively charging). I used this and as expected, the charging cable came loose.
I used the charger again and it just worked fine. Maybe some kind of handshake issue? So that has made me curious. Did anyone else experience a similar situation?
