Constant swimming

Does anybody know the reason why my turtle keeps swimming towards the glass when ever someone enters the room, she will swim up to the glass and keep splashing and swimming until they leave or give her food, she's in a 45gallon tank with sand, drift wood and plants, she gets fed well so i really can't think of any reason for this behaviour
